Using a converter for this purpose is not advisable due to safety concerns. Although a converter can change 220V to 110V, it may not provide a stable output, which could potentially damage the tool’s computer board. Such damage would void the warranty and would not be covered by Surfprep.
If you still wish to proceed, ensure that the transformer you use converts 220V to 110V and has a minimum output of 500W. A transformer with less than 500W output may not be sufficient and could harm the unit.
