If you are planning to connect your SurfPrep sander to a Festool, Mirka, or Fein vacuum, you will first want to verify you
have the 1” rubber ended hose. If you do, this is the only piece you need the 1″ hose connector.

SHOP VACUUM – ANY BRAND
If you are planning to connect your SurfPrep sander to whatever shop vacuum you have, you’ll first want to note that ALL SurfPrep vacuum compatible sanders have a 1” swivel port you will be connecting to. This means the sander itself is intended to take a 1” ribbed hose. For shop vacuums, you will need to choose ONE reducer and ONE section of 1” hose.
You can connect to either the PORT HOLE of your vacuum or to the HOSE of your vacuum. To know which adaptor/hose combination will work
with your vacuum, you will need to know the PORT DIAMETER or HOSE DIAMETER on the specific shop vacuum you have/want. You can find the hose diameter of your vacuum through vacuum specs online or in the manual, or simply by measuring the diameter of the hose yourself! measuring the diameter of the hose yourself!
