    SurfPrep’s 3 2/3” x 7” Storm Air Sanders have a low profile, large footprint designed for use on flat surfaces, recessed corners, large areas & profiled moldings, etc. The durable, lightweight nylon composite bodied sanders withstand rugged industrial applications and are excellent for both prep & finish sanding. Both the Air and Electric Surge can be converted into a more “aggressive leveling sander” with the simple addition of a pad saver with SurfPrep Film cut sheets. All OEM parts are available.  You will need a VERY LARGE air compressor to run this sander. See video below before purchasing an air sander.

The Ray allows operators to sand ‘on-site’ because the tool plugs directly into a standard electric outlet. The power supply is built in the tool with a ‘direct wire’ design that allows for easy set up and operation (no external power supply box / plugs directly into outlet). Annual electricity costs for operating the 5” or 6” Ray 4 hour/day, 240 days/year at $0.0007 kWh is just over $20.00 per year. These tools are available in 3/16” & 3/32” orbits. Central vacuum option available to maintain a clean working environment. The rate of cut & power of the Ray puts the sander in a class of its own!

It is ergonomically balanced for added comfort and control for the operator. Its cutting edge ‘cooling fan’ creates air flow around the counter balance spindle bearing which enhances the life of the tool. The Trident motor assembly is constructed of hardened steel for the cylinder and both end plates. A 360° swivel exhaust grate allows operator to redirect air flow. This new design no longer has an external cap/filter to lose or damage. The tool also has a redesigned, low-profile speed control. You will need a VERY LARGE air compressor to run this sander.
