The SurfPrep 3x4 Electric Ray sander is a rectangular electric orbital sander built for corners, trim, profiles, and surfaces where a round sander is the wrong shape. It reaches into places a 5" or 6" disc cannot access without rounding off edges or losing surface contact.

No. The electric sander does not include abrasives. It is available with or without a tool box. For abrasives, SurfPrep’s 3"x4" ProFoam pads and film and paper abrasive sheets are compatible with the Hook and Loop backup pad. 

Can the SurfPrep 3x4 Electric Ray connect to any dust extractor? 

The SurfPrep 3x4 Electric Ray sander includes a central vacuum conversion piece with a 1" diameter female cuff for compatibility with any central vacuum system. SurfPrep recommends pairing it with SurfPrep’s Vortex HEPA dust extractor system for guaranteed static-conductive performance. 

What is the difference between the tool box and no tool box variants? 

The tool box variant includes the SPTOOLBOX-3X4, which has a foam cutout for one 3"x4" sander and slots for organizing film and foam abrasives. The wood sander itself is identical in both variants. Purchasing a sanding system with the tool box saves 5% on the tool box price.
