Professional Sanders for Woodworking
For cabinet builders, furniture refinishers, painters, and woodworkers, electric and pneumatic sander versions are designed to last 2,000 - 3,000 hours and produce expert results from the first pass.
Sanders Built for the Demands of Professional Work
A good sander does more than merely remove material; it also prepares everything that follows. The final surface reflects the dust it produces, the scratch pattern it leaves behind, and the consistency it provides throughout the course of a workday. SurfPrep sanders are made for control, accuracy, and comfort throughout the day. These tools are made by specialists, for professionals, and are ideal for detail work, woodworking, cabinet refinishing, and furniture restoration.
Each sander in this line is vacuum-ready, comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty, and works with award-winning SurfPrep abrasives.

Pro Tips: Getting the Most from Your Sander
A fantastic sander is only as good as the method used to make it. Professionals who consistently achieve outstanding results are distinguished by these habits:
- Sand with the grain. Any cross-grain passes result in scratches that appear beneath the finish.
- Let the sander do the work. Using too much pressure will result in an uneven cut and hasten pad wear.
- Keep the pad flat. Tilting the sander concentrates pressure on one edge and causes marks.
- Before moving to the next grit, examine your scratch pattern in low light. What you can't see now will show in the finished product.
- Use the correct orbit for the job. A 3/16" orbit is ideal for stock removal, while a 3/32" orbit is best for between-coat finishing.
- Every SurfPrep sander is vacuum-ready for a reason. Sanding without dust extraction allows particles to return to the surface. Vacuum every pass.
- Don't skip grits. Going from 80 to 180 leaves scratches that 180 grit cannot remove. Work your way up gradually.
