This vacuum adapter piece is for anyone who owns a different brand of vacuum that comes with a 2.5" style vacuum hose. We have taken multiple measurements to show you the closest diameter measurements in inches of the different vacuum hoses. The black adapter piece should slide in and create a tight seal with the vacuum hose. We recommend purchasing SurfPrep's Vacuum Hose to screw into this vacuum grey part of the adapter piece. Other brand of vacuum hoses can actually be very heavy, so we recommend purchasing a 12-foot long SurfPrep hose to attach to this piece.- VACUUM HOSE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PART. This vacuum port reducer is a 2" diameter. It will slide into the 2.25" unthreaded intake port of most vacuum systems. SurfPrep's 1" Vacuum Hoses will screw into the other side. SurfPrep's vacuum sanders are equipped with a 1" female swivel coupler. We have created a line of 1" diameter vacuum hoses that connect directly to your SurfPrep Sander for a dust free sanding environment. -
This vacuum adapter will slide over the end attachment of most vacuum systems that come with a 1.75" - 1 7/8" hose. It is NOT threaded. The grey adapter piece should slide over and create a tight seal with the vacuum hole. SurfPrep Backup Pads come in a variety of options depending on the products you are using as well as the surface you're sanding.- Hook & Loop Backup Pads are made with smaller 'hooks' which are excellent for the ‘quick release’ of SurfPrep Foam abrasives.

SurfPrep's 3" X 4" Hand Block is meant to be used with 3" X 4" Film & Foam abrasives. The pad allows easier hand sanding may not be the best choice at hand. -
If you currently own a SurfPrep sander and are deciding to go the 'dustless' route, we have conversion kits that make it easy to convert your tool over for vacuum sanding. Each kit includes the pieces necessary for converting your tool to vacuum: a conversion piece and a backup pad with vacuum holes. O.D. ½” / I.D. ¼” Rated at 300PSI SurfPrep's Ball Swivel Air Hose allows operators to maneuver sander in and out of tight areas without any restrictions. The hoses are one-of-a-kind for a couple of reasons. First, the hose has an ergonomic, lightweight connection to the sander and never needs to be disconnected from the tool.
